# YardCrew

> YardCrew is a free desktop app for Mac and Windows that runs a team of persistent AI workers on your own computer. Free to download.

YardCrew 0.1.0-alpha.0 (alpha, released 2026-09-29) is free. Workers run through OpenAI's official Codex runtime signed in with the user's own ChatGPT plan; usage counts toward that plan's limits. Data stays in local folders; YardCrew has no account system, no servers that receive user work and no telemetry. The alpha runs in host mode (not a full sandbox). Made by Niv Asayag. Not affiliated with OpenAI.
